Cusset's Timing

Cusset presents Continental Philosophy as having been wrested from Street-style punks by academic punks. The impression is of two distinct phases. Really?

Derrida's big splash was at a Johns Hopkins University 1966 conference "intended to promote structuralism".

Yet Cusset makes much of the role of *Semiotext(e) *, a journal/magazine/zine that was founded in 1974.

Seems like there was a lot of overlap.
